CSSB
obtained the SsangYong franchise in December 2001 and we began
our operations in July 2002. When we first started back then,
we were importing and distributing Completely Built up (CBU)
SsangYong vehicles, namely the Luxury 7 Seater Rexton Sports
Utility Vehicle.
Less than 2 years after
its launch in Malaysia, the Rexton became the market leader
in the large SUV segment. The very strong demand for the Rexton
spurred us to venture into Completely Knocked Down (CKD) for
this model. In August 2006, just over four years after we
began our operations, we launched the world's first CKD SsangYong
Rexton II that was locally assembled in Pekan, Pahang.
The
success of the CKD Rexton II led CSSB to start another first
with the launch of the world's first CKD SsangYong Actyon
Sports in late June 2007, less than a year after the launch
of the CKD Rexton II. The Actyon Sports is not only the world's
first CKD for the model but it is also the first SUV based
twin cabin pick-up truck in Malaysia, making it a truly luxurious
Sports Utility Truck.
Apart from the two CKD models,
CSSB also distributes and markets other popular CBU SsangYong
models such as the Stavic Super Size Luxury MPV and the Kyron
Luxury 5 Seater SUV.
CSSB is an importer and
distributor well known for its commitment toward customer
satisfaction. From the time we started business, our aim has
been to provide our customers with a positive and memorable
ownership experience.
We have invested a substantial
amount on developing our own infrastructure as well as assisting
our dealers and business partners in developing their network.
Currently, CSSB has six
of its own 3S centres strategically located throughout the
country in Petaling Jaya, Johor Bahru, Penang, Kuching, Miri
and Kota Kinabalu. Over and above these outlets, we also have
showrooms in Bangsar and Kota Kinabalu.
In addition to our own 3S
centres, CSSB has a dealer network of 23 sales outlets and
20 service outlets throughout the country.
We also understand that
the best infrastructure would not be effective without properly
trained professional staff and we constantly strive to train
and improve everyone in the SsangYong network. Our technicians
have received extensive training from our Principal in Korea.
We also run technical training programs at our own in house
training centre located at our Central 3S-centre in Petaling
Jaya.
We are confident that when
it comes to maintaining SsangYong vehicles, no one can do
it better than CSSB. Our people have been trained by the same
people who designed and built the vehicles and we have direct
communication with them so that when we do encounter a special
situation, the engineers who designed and built the systems
in the cars can provide us with immediate assistance. No other
company in Malaysia has such direct communications with SsangYong.
